This is the fifth in a series of sermons over 1 Samuel. In this message, Jason opens with saying that you can say the right things, "I know that this won't bring ultimate satisfaction," but in your heart you really believe it will. He gives a brief reminder of the context of the passage and then walks through the text explaining the story along the way. The Scripture tells of the Philistines capturing the Ark from Israel and bringing it to Dagon's temple. Despite signs that Israel's God is more powerful than Dagon and trouble that comes on whatever city the Ark is in, the Philistines do not repent and worship God. Jason applies the lesson to our lives, asking, "What are the idols in your life that you still cling to?" He goes through several examples of potential "counterfeit gods" and asks listeners if they are willing to tear their counterfeits down.

In the fourth sermon over the book of 1 Samuel, Tad covers chapter four and begins by providing some foreshadowing via a snapshot from the end of the chapter. In reference to the snippet, Tad points out that God's "sign" to Israel reads "The glory is gone." Then, he walks through the passage, noting Israel's wickedness and the resulting consequences of their actions. He also draws comparisons between Israel's "playing with holy things" and our own culture. Next, he goes through Charles Finney's list of indicators that revival is needed in a nation and concludes by asking, "What is God saying to you?"

This is the third sermon in a series covering the book of 1 Samuel. In this message, Jason looks at chapter three and focuses on Eli's response of resignation to the warning given to him through Samuel. Jason challenges listeners about their own heart posture and compares David's repentance to Eli's resignation and also contrasts godly sorrow versus worldly sorrow. He concludes with asking some hard-to-hear questions and stating that listeners can make the choice to fight. Finally, he encourages hearers to take action in dealing with sin, praying for others, confronting friends, etc.

This is the second in a series of sermons over the book of 1 Samuel. In this session, Tad covers chapter two by beginning with some context for the story. He describes what is found in the book of Judges to communicate the wicked, wicked spiritual climate of Israel leading up to Samuel's time. Then, Tad focus on Hannah and the many positives about her spiritual state and also goes through Hannah's song. Next, Tad highlights the wickedness of the priests, Phinehas and Hophni, and talks about the prophetic warning given in response to their behavior. Finally, he concludes by providing points of how to stay alive in a wicked climate: deeply knowing Yahweh, deeply knowing the Word, realizing it's not about you, encouraging others in truth, walking in sexual purity, and yielding to prophetic words.

Kicking off a new sermon series over 1 Samuel, Pastor Jason Reilly covers the first chapter of the book in this message. He begins with a look at the context and an overview of the book, then, walks through the chapter, discussing points along the way. A primary focus of the sermon is on Hannah's prayer to the Lord, fueled by deep anguish and positively answered by God. Hannah poured out her soul to the Lord in her prayer and also promised to dedicate the child she longed for to God. Jason emphasizes her obedience on this point and says that absolute surrender and obedience brings great good. He tells listeners that the way to get to this place of deep yielding is through the soul-pouring kind of prayer demonstrated by Hannah.

In this message, Tad preaches on a section of Psalm 119. He gives an overview of verses 97-104 and then presents two points: the devil, your enemy until you die, is a lion looking to devour you and, if you don't know 1000 Bible verses by heart, you are a spiritual baby. Tad emphasizes the importance of knowing the Word and encourages the church to hunger for knowing it, saying, "Get the dog in you!" The application of the message includes admitting to being a baby in danger of the devil's attacks, finding a church and a mentor that can help you grow, and spending daily time studying and memorizing the Word.

In this message, Jason Reilly speaks about God's Presence. He first looks at the question: "What is the Presence of the Lord?" Jason begins in Genesis and then focuses in on Moses to learn about God's Presence. Jason also looks at, "Why don't many experience the Presence of the Lord?" Sin, ignorance, fear, distractions, and a lack of feeling meant to grow us can be reasons why we are not experiencing more of the Presence. Finally, Jason addresses, "How do you get more of the Presence of the Lord in your life?" Jason says that prayer is a good start. He also mentions obedience, clearing distractions, treating God like he is a real person, treating God like he is King, and asking God for more of his Presence.

After attending the memorial service of Dick Eastman, author of "The Hour That Changes the World," Tad speaks to the church on the subject of prayer. He emphasizes the importance of spending time praying each day, saying that a lack of prayer will mean a lack of supernatural in your life. However, engaging in prayer will bring about supernatural acts of God. Tad describes his own experiences in pushing into prayer and also talks about Dick Eastman's focus on prayer and impact in the Kingdom. Tad closes with challenging the church to choose their path: live chasing things other than God or become God's bondslave, living for him and his kingdom mission.

Inspired by "Absolute Surrender" by Andrew Murray, Pastor Jason Reilly looks at the life of Peter for a lesson on dying to self. He looks at several passages of Scripture to show Peter's initial surrender, growing pride, and major face plant. The recovery from this face plant, and how we can recover from our own, comes through humility, seeing the risen Christ, and being restored by Jesus. This week, Tim McKibbin, an elder of the church, speaks on the subject of seeking the Kingdom of God, looking at passages primarily from Matthew. Tim explains what "Kingdom of God" means as well as what it looks like to be a citizen of that kingdom. He also touches on dying to self and presents a few verses from Romans, speaking about our relationship with our own sinful nature.

This week, Jason describes to the church his meditations on Isaiah 55. He begins with a quick review of the book of Isaiah up to chapter 55 and then walks through the chapter a few verses at a time. Jason emphasizes the words "come", "buy", and "eat," saying that the hole in our hearts can be filled by Christ if we admit our need, accept the gift, and continue to love and desire him. Jason closes with two application points: come and be saved if you have not received the gift as well as come and keep feasting, intently listening to God.

After being reminded of God's heart for those who are seen as "lowest and least," Tad visits James 2:1-7 and talks about the importance of loving and valuing people that are typically passed over. He discusses the instruction James gives about not valuing some people over others and also emphasizes that every human, regardless of race, wealth, etc., is valuable.
