After attending the memorial service of Dick Eastman, author of "The Hour That Changes the World," Tad speaks to the church on the subject of prayer. He emphasizes the importance of spending time praying each day, saying that a lack of prayer will mean a lack of supernatural in your life. However, engaging in prayer will bring about supernatural acts of God. Tad describes his own experiences in pushing into prayer and also talks about Dick Eastman's focus on prayer and impact in the Kingdom. Tad closes with challenging the church to choose their path: live chasing things other than God or become God's bondslave, living for him and his kingdom mission.

Inspired by "Absolute Surrender" by Andrew Murray, Pastor Jason Reilly looks at the life of Peter for a lesson on dying to self. He looks at several passages of Scripture to show Peter's initial surrender, growing pride, and major face plant. The recovery from this face plant, and how we can recover from our own, comes through humility, seeing the risen Christ, and being restored by Jesus. This week, Tim McKibbin, an elder of the church, speaks on the subject of seeking the Kingdom of God, looking at passages primarily from Matthew. Tim explains what "Kingdom of God" means as well as what it looks like to be a citizen of that kingdom. He also touches on dying to self and presents a few verses from Romans, speaking about our relationship with our own sinful nature.

This week, Jason describes to the church his meditations on Isaiah 55. He begins with a quick review of the book of Isaiah up to chapter 55 and then walks through the chapter a few verses at a time. Jason emphasizes the words "come", "buy", and "eat," saying that the hole in our hearts can be filled by Christ if we admit our need, accept the gift, and continue to love and desire him. Jason closes with two application points: come and be saved if you have not received the gift as well as come and keep feasting, intently listening to God.

After being reminded of God's heart for those who are seen as "lowest and least," Tad visits James 2:1-7 and talks about the importance of loving and valuing people that are typically passed over. He discusses the instruction James gives about not valuing some people over others and also emphasizes that every human, regardless of race, wealth, etc., is valuable.

Jason looks at 2 Timothy 2:20-22 and challenges the church to be clean, to deal with sin so that members may be useable by God. He clarifies some things about what sins to deal with, as well as the relationship between dealing with sin and salvation. Jason also says that the way to walk in holiness is to adopt, by faith, a new identity as a saint and provides some strategies for how to keep from sin. Jason then presents characteristics of a usable person and talks about Isaiah 6, where Isaiah sees Yahweh, is confronted with his sin, is cleansed, and then has a hunger to be used by God.

Pastor Tad Trapp shares an idea that has been on his heart that aligns with the recent focus of the church on surrender and real discipleship. Tad describes a sketch he has drawn of a mountain with a wall and a gate in front of it. He uses the imagery to communicate that fear of the Lord is a prerequisite for knowing His glory and being in perfect peace. He encourages the congregation to obey God and not wait for God to reveal His character before they do so.

Tad continues with the theme of total surrender to Jesus and being a real disciple, this time looking at Matthew 6:33 and emphasizing the area of finances.

In this sermon, Tad shares more in relation to the idea of being real disciples of Christ. He speaks against the idea that everything in the world is exactly as God has dictated and presents the challenge to the audience that real disciples are the solution to the chaos in the world. Tad talks about a few men who were influential during his early Christian days and support the idea that what we do matters. Tad looks at Matthew 17:14-21 and Revelation 2:1-5 during the message and also looks at the Beatitudes as a metric for evaluating real discipleship.

In this sermon, Pastor Jason Reilly shares his thoughts on grief, which are especially applicable after some recent tragedies in the church. Jason looks at the question, "What does it mean to grieve?" He also points out some wrong ways to handle grief before walking through the passage in John where Jesus weeps. Then, he mentions Revelation 21, makes some points from C.S. Lewis' "A Grief Observed," and concludes with an application.

After the passing of a friend of the church, Tad shares about the solution to the brokenness in our world: being a real disciple (learner) of Christ. Tad walks through the first few commands from Jesus as they appear in the book of Matthew: repent, follow me, rejoice and be glad, and let your light shine. He connects the message to the baptisms that follow the service, pointing out the final command that Jesus gives, which is to go into the world, make disciples, and baptize them.

This is message number thirteen in the Ephesians sermon series. Here, Jason Reilly covers a small passage at the beginning of Ephesians chapter six, discussing how to honor your father and mother. He acknowledges that each situation is different, and that it is difficult to give clear solutions/ideas on what honoring parents will look like in every situation for each individual. He talks about how honoring does not always mean obeying; commands or directions that are contrary to God, the higher authority, do not override God's authority. Jason also addresses what the roles of parents are as a child continues to grow and mature.
